Using the 2D Gait App

I must say, I am enjoying the use of the 2D Gait App available on the Academy site.

I was just doing some analysis of footage that I took the other day. It is so easy, very quick to do and provides me with some quantitative data that can help to make some decisions about where to next or even how to refine the intervention to make it more targeted.

I used the experimental version where you can play around with the size of the markers and fonts. I like how the angles are displayed here too with the graphs shown below.

Be sure to give it a go! You can pair it with the clinical decision tree for gait classification too!
The experimental version is now the default version!

We are looking to make some more significant changes to the app over time - suggestions and feedback welcome.

There are some other recently added features that I enjoyed trying out - a trimming tool to select the time period and steps that you want to focus on, and AI-driven analysis to help you understand some of the key gait deviations. This seems like it would be particularly helpful if you're new to gait analysis. You can upload a video or take it live during a therapy session!
