We catch up with Álvaro Hidalgo-Robles,
An incredible young leader, researcher and advocate, Álvaro is a paediatric physiotherapist and researcher specialising in early intervention for infants and young children at high risk of neurodevelopmental disorders. He serves as an associate professor at the Universidad Internacional de La Rioja (UNIR) in Spain, where he is also pursuing his PhD. His doctoral research focuses on the early detection and intervention of cerebral palsy, with a particular emphasis on translating evidence-based tools into clinical practice.
Alvaro is also serving on the Board for the European Academy of Childhood-onset Disability (EACD) Early Career Researchers Forum - tasked to support and connect professionals in childhood onset disability research. It was our privilege to spend time with Álvaro and discuss the paper: Identifying and Evaluating Young Children with Developmental Central Hypotonia: An Overview of Systematic Reviews and Tools, co-written with fellow authors Dr Ginny Paleg and Dr Roslyn Livingstone, great friends of the pod!
If you have any questions, for Dayna, Ash or our illustrious guest Álvaro - please leave a message here!
